Google API & YouTube Data Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how IDX LLC ("IDX," "we," "us," or "our") accesses, uses, stores, and shares information obtained from Google and YouTube when you sign in and connect your Google Account to iunoo (the "App"). It specifically covers our use of Google API Services and YouTube API Services, including data accessed through the Google OAuth scopes listed below.
This document supplements our general Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Where this policy addresses Google or YouTube data specifically, this policy controls. By connecting your Google Account and granting the requested permissions, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not connect your Google Account.
1. Who We Are
IDX LLC is a limited liability company that builds productivity tools. iunoo is a community platform that helps YouTube creators build and connect with their audience. To power creator profiles and creator-facing features, iunoo lets a creator sign in with Google and grant read-only access to their YouTube data.
2. Google Sign-In and the Scopes We Request
We use Google OAuth 2.0. During sign-in and channel connection, the App may request the following scopes. We request the minimum access needed to provide the features you use, and Google shows you a consent screen before any access is granted — you can decline.
| Scope | Why we request it |
|---|---|
openid |
To authenticate you and establish a secure signed-in session using your Google account identifier. |
.../auth/userinfo.email |
To read your Google email address in order to create and secure your account and send service-related communications. |
.../auth/userinfo.profile |
To read basic profile details (your name and profile picture) to set up and display your account. |
.../auth/youtube.readonly |
Read-only access to your YouTube account so the App can display your channel, videos, subscriptions, and related public statistics. It does not allow the App to create, upload, edit, or delete anything on YouTube. |
.../auth/meetings.space.created |
Requested only from creators who offer 1-on-1 video calls. It lets the App create a Google Meet space on the host creator's behalf so a booked call can take place. It grants access only to meeting spaces the App creates — never your other meetings — and the App does not read meeting content, participants, recordings, or transcripts. |
3. The Google and YouTube Data We Read
Only after you grant the permissions above, and only to operate features you use, the App reads the following:
3.1 Google Account profile
- Your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture (from
openid,userinfo.email, anduserinfo.profile).
3.2 YouTube data (via the YouTube Data API — youtube.readonly)
- Channel profile: your channel ID, title, description, thumbnail/avatar, and channel branding settings.
- Channel statistics: aggregate figures such as subscriber count, total view count, and video count.
- Your videos and their metadata: video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publish dates, duration, and public statistics (view, like, and comment counts), including your uploads retrieved via your uploads playlist and search.
- Subscriptions: the channels your account is subscribed to (used for follow/discovery features and to check whether you are subscribed to a given channel).
- Your video ratings: whether you have liked a given video, so the App can reflect your own interactions.
- Whether you have commented on a video: we may read a video's comment threads to determine if your account has already commented, to power community and engagement features.
3.3 Google Meet (via the Google Meet API — meetings.space.created)
- Meeting spaces the App creates: for creators who offer 1-on-1 video calls, when a call is booked the App creates a single Google Meet space on the host creator's behalf and stores only its join link so the creator and the fan can meet at the scheduled time.
- This scope is not requested from fans or from creators who do not offer video calls. The App accesses only the spaces it creates, and does not read meeting content, participant lists, recordings, or transcripts.
We read only the data needed for the features you use, and we do not request any write, upload, or account-management permissions beyond creating the Meet spaces described above for creator video calls.
4. How We Use Google and YouTube Data
We use the data described above only to provide and improve the App's features that you use, including to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your account.
- Identify your channel and set up and display your creator profile (channel name, avatar, and description).
- Show your channel and video statistics back to you in creator dashboards.
- Power community, follow/discovery, and engagement features that depend on knowing which YouTube channel you own and how you interact with content.
We do not use Google or YouTube user data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it. We do not use this data to build profiles for purposes unrelated to the App's features, and we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
5. How We Store and Protect This Data
- OAuth tokens: the access and refresh tokens issued by Google are stored securely and used only to make authorized, read-only requests on your behalf. They are never shared with other users and are never exposed in the App's public interfaces.
- Channel data: a limited amount of YouTube data (such as your channel ID, title, avatar, and basic statistics) may be cached in our infrastructure provider, Google Firebase, so the App can display your profile and creator features without repeatedly re-querying YouTube.
- Security: data is protected using access-controlled infrastructure, database security rules, authentication, and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How We Share This Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google or YouTube data. We share it only as follows, and only to provide the App's core functionality:
- Subprocessor — Google Firebase: our infrastructure provider for authentication, database, and hosting. Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google's terms and is not permitted to use it for its own independent purposes.
- Other users, only where inherently public: information that is already public on YouTube (such as your channel name, avatar, or public video details) may be displayed within your public iunoo profile if you choose to present it. We do not disclose your private Google data, email, or OAuth tokens to other users.
- Legal and safety: where required to comply with law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of IDX LLC, our users, or the public.
7. Limited Use Disclosure (Google API Services User Data Policy)
iunoo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. YouTube API Services
iunoo uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel and using these features:
- You agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Your use of YouTube data through iunoo is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
We access YouTube data only as authorized by you and in accordance with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and applicable Developer Policies.
9. Revoking Access and Deleting Your Data
You can disconnect iunoo from your Google Account at any time:
- Revoke access via Google: visit myaccount.google.com/permissions (or security.google.com/settings/security/permissions) and remove iunoo. This immediately invalidates the tokens issued to the App.
- Disconnect in the App: where available, you can disconnect your YouTube channel or delete your account from within the App's settings.
- Request deletion: email us at support@idxmean.com to request deletion of the Google/YouTube data we hold about you.
When you revoke access or delete your account, we stop making requests to Google and YouTube on your behalf and delete or anonymize the associated Google/YouTube data we hold within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with law. We also honor the data-refresh and deletion expectations of the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
10. Data Retention
We retain the Google/YouTube data described in this policy only for as long as your Google Account remains connected and you use the related features, or as needed to provide the App and comply with our legal obligations. Cached YouTube data is periodically refreshed or removed in line with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is intended solely for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, connect a Google Account, or use the Services, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where required, through additional notice. Your continued use of the Google-connected features after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
